Today’s seniors love to learn new things, give of their time, and be engaged with their local community. At ElderSpan-managed residences, the days are full with artists showcasing their work, visits from a variety of therapy animals, high school students sharing their time and talents, hosting pop-up early learning centers, even tri-shaw bike rides and ATV adventures with community pilots! Residents love to take trips to interesting destinations and appreciate opportunities to give of their time for worthy causes, such as selling poppies for Memorial Day or rolling bandages for Global Health Ministries. There have been a number of studies in recent months proving even small amounts of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity has very positive affects on the mental and physical well being of older adults.
