In 2015, ElderSpan was proud to welcome renowned dementia care education specialist Teepa Snow to Madison on July 16th and 17th.  Teepa held two day-long interactive sessions for all of ElderSpan’s 250+ employees, using role-playing and other interactive techniques to teach the best and most compassionate care giving practices for our residents.

The training sessions were held at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Nursing’s Signe Skott Cooper Hall.  Teepa was also the main speaker at an evening program for health care decision makers within the Greater Madison community.  This event was also held at the School of Nursing and was a result of the partnership between ElderSpan Management, the School of Nursing and its Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE).  Additional sponsors for the event were Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care, Catholic Charities of Madison, Home Health United, and Dean & St. Mary’s.
